Q&A: what are legitimate work from home companies ?

Question by Jackie B: what are legitimate work from home companies ?
I have a 2yr old and have been finding that working my current job (which included 2 late nights a week) is proving very taxing with trying to care for my daughter. I have been looking for a work from home opportunity…but everything seems like a scam. Does anyone have any experiences/suggestions ? Which companies to avoid and which ones are worth trying out ??? I am very skeptical of having to pay a company in order to work for them.
