There is something peculiar about the human psychological experience when it comes to making an analysis based on factual and empirical evidence about the way to pursue wealth. We have all been conditioned to believe that the wealthy are a supper class of people who have unimaginable talents in their ability to build businesses and pursue riches. Maybe that is true. But it is also true that most people have never really systematically thought about how to get wealthy and are often times only concerned about how to get a better job.It is a fact that most people hate their jobs and would quit the very next minute if they had the chance. Yet, why don’t they? The answer is fear of a known outcome, which is the loss of a constant flow of income, no matter how little that income may be. So people continue in their misery doing the job they hate until they retire only to realize that they don’t have enough to live on for the rest of their lives. Too late.

Stories about how people who in the immediate aftermath of losing a job went on to establish their own businesses and subsequently became rich abound. Stories about rags to riches are common around us with people starting successful companies in their parents’ basements or garages or once homeless people making it big. These stories of success however appear very distant to most ordinary folk.It is difficult to relate to these stories because most of us have never had the experience of losing our jobs and because we are very much accustomed to the security of the paychecks that our jobs bring, we are unable to fathom how it is that such people become successful in business. We believe that because we are not in similar circumstances we can’t do what they did. And so we have been conditioned to believe that the motivating factor to pursuing riches for people who decided to take a risk at business always emanated from some kind of prior misfortune that befell them. What a dumb position to take!

Yet in real life this is the position most of us take. We wait till something disastrous happens before we take corrective and preventative actions. The same situation applies to the approach we have towards our jobs. Even when we sense that our jobs may be on the line, we do absolutely nothing till the inevitable happens. As soon as we lose our jobs we start earnestly looking for another one, not thinking about the possibility of losing that one too in future. We are enslaved by the idea of surrendering our work life to our employers who dictate our earnings, our choices, our freedoms, our happiness.

What is being proposed here is not some random, radical idea of us quitting our jobs and embarking upon a gratuitous business adventure without making any adequate preparations whatsoever. Rather, it is call to action, especially for those whose incomes are inadequate for their families’ daily living, to start thinking about and looking at things a little differently.

It starts with the realization that a job was never designed to make you wealthy. It starts with the recognition and acknowledgement that life could be better financially and that it involves making an earnest effort to learn how to be financially free. It starts with self-empowerment. It starts with learning about the Network Marketing and Direct Sales Industry.

According to the US Department of Labor and the Direction Selling Association you are five times more likely to be successful in earning $ 100K in your network marketing business than in your current job if you put in the same amount of energy, time and effort. Most people are unaware of this fact and even if they were would summarily dismiss it because to their mind, network marketing is nothing but a “pyramid scheme” that will make them lose money by getting involved. Nothing is farther from the truth! Without delving deeper into understanding what network marketing is and how it works, most people buy into misinformation from family, friends and the Internet from whom nothing but negative assertions are made about the industry. Believing these ignorant assertions only end up costing us eventually.

Network Marketing is based on duplication of effort and leveraging of time by building a network of customers and distributors who consume a product or service. People do forget about the word network in network marketing and think that you should do all the recruiting yourself. Going out on your own to try to recruit lots of people into your business is dumb and that is not network marketing. In network marketing, you train people to duplicate your efforts, and they in turn also train people to duplicate their efforts and so on. Everybody is then compensated based on a percentage of the combined selling efforts of all those in the down line. No sales, no earnings. This is the fairest form of compensation there is because irrespective of your position, you must work in order to earn. All you need to do is find about four or five people who share in your vision of building a network business and in time your business will take off like a rocket.

A pyramid scheme is a self-perpetuating fraudulent business enterprise involving the transfer of money from one person to the next without the exchange and consumption of goods and services. It is strictly a money changing scheme based solely on recruiting people into a down line and receiving compensation from doing just that. A pyramid scheme is not network marketing. Period.

Network marketing is the only type of business where anyone can come in with very little money, usually involving an investment of only a few hundred dollars, to start a home business based on residual income on a part-time basis and become very successful. Yet the same people who complain that you can lose a few hundred dollars in network marketing have no qualms at all about people losing tens of thousands or even millions of dollars in the stock market! Why don’t we hear about people criticizing the stock market where people commit suicide from incurring huge losses when the market crashes, or people losing money from failed attempts at a franchise or any business venture? Why do people single out the network marketing industry which has seen the least amount of losses in terms of risk? Why is investing in the stock market not called a scam where the risk of losing all your life’s savings is real? It is important to ask yourself some of these questions before discarding an opportunity that can make yourself wealthy.

The fact is that most people who fail at network marketing have not given it their best shot. Most of the time they don’t do the due diligence of making sure they are dealing with a reputable company and they don’t give it an honest attempt. Because of the get-rich-quick attitude that they have they quit after a few months and then spread the falsehood that it doesn’t work. Many people have succeeded in network marketing and have made lots of money, millions from it. It isn’t because they were lucky. Rather, it is because they worked hard at building their business and decided right from the beginning to be in it for the long haul no matter the temporary, initial setbacks that they encountered. Like any business it takes time, perseverance and commitment. It also involves effort, dedication, learning and training.

With network marketing, you don’t have to work the rest of your life like in a job. You only need to work hard for a few years building your business and then you can relax or retire having achieved a certain level of constant residual income. Those earnings will keep on coming in whether or not you continue to work the business. It is called residual income. That is the beauty of network marketing!

It is important to note that corporate America is now discovering and recognizing direct sales as an important channel of distribution of goods and services, and investment banking firms are now backing public acquisitions of network marketing companies like Herbal Life, Avon, etc. One of the world’s greatest investor – Warren Buffett – endorses network marketing as a good business model and enterprise. It is also important to note that a number of Business Schools have now incorporated the teaching of network marketing in their curriculum.

Network marketing is the best-kept secret of our time. Those who maintain an open-minded attitude about it and have decided to give it a try have positioned themselves to becoming financially free. It is true that not everybody will be successful at it or even give it a try. However, network marketing is not a scam and failing at it does not equate to it being a scam. If it has ever been your desire to have control over your income or to go into business for yourself, you might want to take a look at network marketing. It is the best business there is in modern times. To educate yourself and to learn how to take the initial first steps towards financial freedom, please watch a short, insightful and informational movie entitled Brilliant Compensation about the direct selling and network marketing industry at: http://www.explorefreedom.com/bestincome
