CPA ? The Other Affiliate Offers

CPA ? The Other Affiliate Offers

If you’re familiar with affiliate network marketing, you’ve probably run across some relatively new networks involving CPA offers.  These offers pay the affiliate for having the visitor perform a specific action on their website, such as completing a survey, giving an email address, or some other action that generates a lead.

The type and amount of required information can vary greatly, and so can the size of the commission or fee the affiliate is paid.  The more valuable the advertiser feels the information is, the greater the commission or fee the advertiser is willing to pay.

In comparing PPC campaigns vs. CPA campaigns, PPC involves targeting keywords a search engine will use to feed ads to visitors who search using a particular term.  Those visitors click on the site where the ad is published, click the link, which leads to the offer.  The advertiser has no information on the person who clicked the link, and can only hope the click converts to a sale.  Even if there is no sale, the advertiser has to pay for the click.  There is also a possibility of click fraud and budget overruns.

CPA offers are much easier to implement, and the payouts can be higher than PPC campaigns. Rates for CPA offers can range from to for valid leads with a 20% conversion rate.  These offers are also hassle-free because there’s no need for landing pages, keyword research or getting traffic to send to your affiliate offers.  Just post a direct link for the CPA offer you’re promoting to the biggest online traffic sources.  Compared to a PPC campaign, the work to get a CPA offer up and running is minimal.

If you decide this is the way to build your income online, note that applying to a CPA network is very different from applying to other programs.  These networks are very selective, and just filling out an application isn’t enough.  They will verify that you are who you say you are, website ownership, and contact information.  So be as accurate as possible, using your correct email and/or phone number.  Be prepared to answer your phone and/or email to speed up your approval.

There a many CPA networks to consider like linkshare.com, copeac.com, cxdigital.com, icommissions.com, neverblue.com, and cj.com.  You can visit places like WarriorForum.com to get recommendations on the different networks.  Try a few of the networks to get a feel for which ones work best for you in your niche.

Some features you may want to compare when searching for your networks are:

Payout minimum – the lower the minimum, the faster you get paid.
Pay schedules – weekly, bi-weekly, monthly.
Referral bonuses – how much, if anything, do you get paid for referring people?  Does it count toward your minimum?
Referral programs – is the program multi-tiered, cash payment or credit, and how long do you make commissions on sub-affiliate payouts?
Categories or Niches
User-friendliness – how hard is it to locate offers, get help, etc.

As with other affiliate programs, select the offers in a niche you’re familiar with.  You may be tempted to go with the highest paying offers at first, but that strategy isn’t always the best.  What’s really important is how well an offer converts to a paying action.  For example, and earnings-per-click offer of that visitors aren’t clicking on, isn’t as good as a earnings-per-click offer visitors are clicking on.

Paying attention to these details, and setting up a system that works well for you will reward you with the type of income you’ve been seeking online.
