Charity Boxes
Charity Boxes
The main aim of a charity is to provide funding to organisations that help people with problems, illnesses and less fortunate people then ourselves (like countries with no water supplies). To do this is not a simple task as they are not usually funded by the government. In order to raise these funds they must get the money from the general public.
To do this one method they use are Charity Boxes, these are manufactured from different materials (usually plastic) and not to large in size, they are designed to sit on the counter of shops and encourage people to donate their spare change to a good cause. The boxes have a small coin slot in the top and often a loop on the back so a chain may be attached keeping the box firmly attached to the counter.
Depending on the charity and type of box manufactured, most of them will be printed on with the name of the charity and some artwork, this shows the public what fund they are giving their money to.
Another method for raising the money is to offer a promotional item like a badge; this small badge will be branded with the charities name and offered out to the public as I gift when they donate some money by placing their change in the Charity Box.
The Boxes can vary in size and shape, they can even be manufactured to look like statues of characters or anything your imagination can think of. There are a lot of different companies that supply these, make sure you find the one that is best suited to your needs.
